Association Sibiu 2007 European Cultural Capital is now looking for young, energetic and experienced professionals to expand its Operational Team

1. Executive & Administrative Director


Responsibilities:

The Executive & Administrative Director is working alongside the General Coordinator and is responsible for the good running and efficient management of the Operational Team ECC Sibiu 2007. S/he is in an executive management position that has the authority and responsibility to oversee the administrative, operational, fiscal, and risk management functions of the organization.


Mandatory Requirements:

  • BA or related degree in Business, non-profit organisations management, or equivalent work or festival-related experience
  • Experience as an Executive Director or in leading position of an organization, preferable in the cultural or artistic festival sector
  • Experience in supervising administrative, fundraising and program staff, in developing, implementing, maintaining and up-dating policies, procedures, organizational strategic documents
  • Good interpersonal, staff management and supervision and teambuilding skills
  • Excellent skills of MS Office tools (Word Processing, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent command of English, knowledge of additional German and French would be an advantage.



2. Secretary / Administrative Assistant


Responsibilities:

  • Provides secretarial and multilingual assistance to the local and international teams of professionals throughout the process of preparation and implementing of the programme
  • Coordinates and assists pertaining to the daily work of the team
  • Processes cultural, financial and technical documents
  • Processes phones, fax and mail orders in a timely manner
  • Oversees and manages the day to day administrative operations in the central office.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Good general education with emphasis on Languages, preferably including an executive secretarial diploma
  • At least 2 years secretarial experience, if possible in an international environment and in a festival / event organisation
  • Very good command of MS Office tools (Word Processing, Excel, PowerPoint) and general interest in cultural matters and events
  • Excellent command of English and German, knowledge of additional French would be an advantage.

3. Projects Coordinator


Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the implementation and the good running of the cultural and artistic projects that are part of the Sibiu 2007 ECC Programme
  • Maintains and develops excellent working relationships and communication with cultural and artistic programs operators
  • Researches, writes and edits programme quick guide & catalogue and other support material relevant to the cultural programme
  • Maintains and updates program information in the programme database.


Mandatory Requirements:

  • Degree in Art / Cultural Science or equivalent Degree in Arts Management
  • At least 3 years of practical experience as a Program Manager of a cultural / arts organization or related, preferably in a leading position
  • Excellent command of English, knowledge of additional German or French would be an advantage.
  • Excellent skills of MS Office tools (Word Processing, Excel, PowerPoint).


4. Communication Coordinator


Responsibilities:

  • The implementation and visibility of the Communication Strategy for Sibiu 2007 ECC Programme and has the practical experience and the personal capacity to represent the overall communication goals of ECC Sibiu 2007 in a professional manner
  • Secures the planning, delivery, coordination and implementation of the Communication tasks
  • Works together and supervises the outsourced services and tasks (e.g. communication agency etc.)


Mandatory Requirements:

  • Degree in Communication / PR or equivalent education
  • Experience in a leading position of the Communication and / or Marketing sector, preferable in the events sector
  • Evidence of continuing education in fields related to Communication, Public Relation and Marketing in cultural or non-profit organisations and projects is an asset
  • Excellent command of English, knowledge of German or French would be an advantage.
  • Excellent skills of MS Office tools (Word Processing, Excel, PowerPoint)


5. Assistant Press / Media


Responsibilities:

  • Administers and records all press / media contacts
  • Prepares press information
  • Directs press conferences as a spokesman
  • Maintains the press / media reporting system and carries press / media reports as required by the General Coordinator or Executive Director
  • Directs the information to the Website Manager
  • Oversees and manages the day to day operations in press / media

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Degree in Journalism / Public Relation or equivalent education
  • At least 2 years of experience in a Press / Media position of a company, preferably in an event / media organization
  • Excellent command of English, knowledge of German or French would be an advantage
  • Office and administrative experience including diary management, excellent skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) and basic knowledge of graphic design, image processing and layout.

6. Tourism Coordinator


Responsibilities:

  • Oversees and manages the day to day operations of ECC Sibiu 2007 with the tourism companies and operators in and outside the region
  • Cooperates and establishes a professional network with tourism companies and operators at local, regional, national and international level
  • Develops tourism packages together with tourist operators which are responsible for the implementation.


Mandatory Requirements:

  • BA in Tourism Management
  • 3 years experience in the tourism sector, if possible in regional and international tourism companies or tourism operators
  • Strong interest and experience in the Promotion of Cultural Tourism in the Region
  • Office and administrative experience including diary management, excellent skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) and general interest in cultural matters and events
  • Excellent command of English, knowledge of additional German or French would be an advantage.


7. Technical Coordinator


Responsibilities:

  • Is responsible for the good running and efficient management of the technical infrastructure for the program of Sibiu 2007 ECC Programme
  • Coordinates and oversees the production, installation, maintenance and inventory of technical equipment and facilities of the Programme
  • Advises on production schedules and budgets
  • Establishes technical schedules and coordinates all activities related to the production including scenery production, property construction, maintenance and improvements


Mandatory Requirements:

  • Evidence of education or Degree in fields related to technical production / event management, or solid event-related experience in technical production
  • At least 3 years experience as a Technical Coordinator / Technical Director of an artistic organization, preferable in the events sector
  • Good command of English
  • Office and administrative experience including diary management, good skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
